In an effort to appreciate how physical activity provides personal enjoyment, challenge, self-expression, and social interaction, the Junior League of Kingston challenges children to get outside and get physical. The challenge is open to all children in Ulster County, ages 5-12, who are willing to exercise a minimum of 30 minutes per day five days a week during the months of July and August.
The Junior League partnered with Parisi Speed School to give free fitness instruction twice a week for the length of the program. An awards ceremony hosted by the Junior League of Kingston is held at the conclusion of the program at the Ulster County Office Building with the Ulster County Executive, Michael Hein, to present all participants with Certificates of Achievement and prizes.
